Welcome to The Mindset Coach Academy Podcast, I’m Lindsey Wilson, former pro athlete, high-performance mindset coach, and entrepreneur and here we’ll dive into everything mindset. I have lived all these mindset tools- as an athlete, a business owner, a mom, a human. And together, you and I will sit in the student chair and study mindset. We’ll work on our own mindset and even talk about how to build a mindset coaching business if that’s your thing. With experts in the field, athletes, coaches, and other high-performance individuals, we are going to nerd out on the mental side of the game. This podcast is all about being a student of mindset. We believe mindset work isn’t about fixing or changing, it’s becoming more of who you were always meant to be. Here we work on our mindset. The good stuff, the hard stuff, the stuff most people won’t do. We have officially changed our name from The Inner Game to The Mindset Coach Academy podcast because we are specifically looking to grow as coaches and students of mindset. We’ll interview top experts in the field and high-achieving individuals about how mindset has brought them success, as well as dive deep into mindset training. New episodes will drop every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, as well as short 5-minute episodes every Mental Monday. Our first two guests are badass female Olympians successful on the playing field and rocking it off the field as well. We’ll start off with former Olympic Volleyball Player Courtney Thompson.

Coach Yourself to Clarity
Wednesday May 10, 2023
Wednesday May 10, 2023
Ever heard of a little thing called the confirmation bias?
The confirmation bias is a fancy way of saying that your brain is always looking for evidence that you are right.
In his famous quote, Henry Ford said it well, “Whether you think you can, or you think you can't – you're right,”
As mindset coaches, we see this all the time: From the athlete that believes their coach ‘has it out’ for them to the colleague who deep down doesn’t really think their business is going to be successful. We’ve all seen the confirmation bias limit and sabotage. But did you know that the confirmation bias can just as easily create opportunity and help you succeed?
All it takes is some targeted mindset work.
In this extended episode of The Mindset Coach Academy podcast, Lindsey is coaching you through feelings of overwhelm, confusion, inadequacy by training your confirmation bias to work FOR you instead of against you. With a few simple mindset tweaks, Lindsey will help you change your thoughts to experience a positive ripple effect. As she
reminds you in the episode, “productive thoughts lead to better emotions, actions, and results.”
Do not let yourself become a victim of your circumstances, press play, follow along, and experience an immediate shift.

Does anyone really love watching game tape after a loss?
It's hard to critique fairly without letting emotions cloud your judgement, but critique without criticism is SO important if you want to grow.
In today’s episode, Lindsey shares a piece of her post-competition routine. These 3 KEY QUESTIONS will help you evaluate your performance fairly. Use them to learn from both failures and successes and move forward with INTENTION.

Please welcome my guest today, Nate Daniels!
As a former Professional Football Player, Collegiate All-American, Ferrum College Hall of Fame Inductee, and Fairfax High School Sports Hall of Fame Inductee, Nate knows what it takes to be successful at the highest level of sports. He has over 20 years of experience coaching and mentoring athletes and is passionate about helping the next generation of “athletes, parents, and coaches navigate their sports journey off the field/court so they can dominate on it.”
Today, Nate is the proud owner of a physical training center, Daniel’s Sport Performance, and a mental training center, Next Level Athletes. In this episode, Nate talks all about why and HOW he made his Mental Training business OFFICIAL.
What I love about this interview with Nate is that this man lives and breathes what he teaches. His is an agent for change within the sports world and passionate about his mission to help others with mental training. He shares real life details about how he started, how he packages his services, what he charges, and so many other boots-on-the-ground details that are invaluable to up-and-comers. Most of all he’s proof that you can help people AND make money.
If you are an aspiring mindset coach, this interview will help you peek behind the curtain and see what it really looks like to run a thriving business in this space.
A huge thank you to Nate for being vulnerable and sharing his story. I have no doubt it will inspire so many other mindset coaches to follow their passion.

The Power of Simple Goals
Wednesday Apr 12, 2023
Wednesday Apr 12, 2023
High achievers LOVE goals.
But often, the goal we focus on is big. We want to quit our job and start a company, get in shape, go back to school to finish our degree… etc. But hyperfocusing on a big goal (that may take many many years to achieve) can get a little stale, even discouraging. Even the most disciplined of us can’t function long-term on willpower alone.
Have you ever tried to run up a big hill from a dead stop at the bottom? Yeah, it’s like that.
This month in The Mindset Coaching Collective, I gave my students an assignment. And today, I’m giving the same one to you. It’s super simple, something you can start today, and unbelievably powerful. Why? Because this assignment will give you something that every one of us can benefit from…
MOMENTUM!
It will remind you that you are type of person who does what they say they’re going to do. That you’re someone who is brave enough to make commitments and keep your commitments, and that you are powerful, disciplined, and more than capable of achieving your biggest goals.
If you love actionable episodes with clear takeaways and easy wins this one’s for you!

How do YOU interpret being on the fence?
Being on the fence is a bad thing, right? Well, yes, but being on the fence isn't really the root of the problem. Today, Lindsey is taking a new perspective and reminding you that YOU are in control of how you frame everything in your life, even "being on the fence".
