Welcome to The Mindset Coach Academy Podcast, I’m Lindsey Wilson, former pro athlete, high-performance mindset coach, and entrepreneur and here we’ll dive into everything mindset. I have lived all these mindset tools- as an athlete, a business owner, a mom, a human. And together, you and I will sit in the student chair and study mindset. We’ll work on our own mindset and even talk about how to build a mindset coaching business if that’s your thing. With experts in the field, athletes, coaches, and other high-performance individuals, we are going to nerd out on the mental side of the game. This podcast is all about being a student of mindset. We believe mindset work isn’t about fixing or changing, it’s becoming more of who you were always meant to be. Here we work on our mindset. The good stuff, the hard stuff, the stuff most people won’t do. We have officially changed our name from The Inner Game to The Mindset Coach Academy podcast because we are specifically looking to grow as coaches and students of mindset. We’ll interview top experts in the field and high-achieving individuals about how mindset has brought them success, as well as dive deep into mindset training. New episodes will drop every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month, as well as short 5-minute episodes every Mental Monday. Our first two guests are badass female Olympians successful on the playing field and rocking it off the field as well. We’ll start off with former Olympic Volleyball Player Courtney Thompson.

Do you remember morning conditioning? Waking up at 5 AM to get yelled at by your coach and run sprints with your team in the rain (why was it always raining?).
Imagine all the energy it would have taken to wake up and do morning conditioning on your own. No team, no coach, just you relying on sheer willpower to create a workout plan, show up on time, and push yourself through your entire workout.
I don't care how dedicated you are, it is SO much harder to do it alone.
This is true for morning conditioning and it’s also true for entrepreneurship, parenthood, professional development... etc. etc.
Today on the podcast, I’m talking about the importance of finding community, especially in an area of your life where you want to excel.
After I left basketball, I didn’t even realize how much I missed having a community of people to lean on as I took on my next challenge of building a business. Finding a team is not easy outside of competitive sports. It’s not that you can’t build one, it’s just that it's not obvious how to go about building one.
Not only that, but when you don’t have a team, it can leave a void that you may not even notice.
In today’s episode I talk about:
